About Us


The Diligent Qualification Platform is a cloud-based technology and suite of services that enable Sponsors and CROs to rapidly identify, evaluate and select clinical service providers.


We are currently seeking a new member to join our Sales team. The Sales Director will drive the business development process and build relationships with prospective clients through a consultative selling approach. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment and must be able to roll up their sleeves to fulfill sales needs while contributing to larger business processes and strategies.


Core Responsibilities


The Sales Manager is responsible to drive Diligent’s business development activities by developing relationships with key clients and communicating Diligent’s value proposition through proposals and presentations. This role will manage activities throughout the sales cycle, including generating and prospecting leads, maintaining the sales pipeline, leading client calls, and managing the RFP and proposal process. This role will execute and enhance business development processes and strategy, contributing to Diligent’s growth and long-term stability. This role must have the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues to realize team and company goals. This includes leading sales meetings, communicating client updates, and staying informed about developments to the platform and Diligent’s services.


The day-to-day job responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Partner with clients to understand their business needs and objectives; effectively communicate Diligent’s value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing on major contracts to achieve sales targets
  • Manage activities throughout the sales cycle: prospect leads, maintain sales pipeline, lead client calls, manage RFP and proposal process
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium circuits, if applicable
  • Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments


Skills & Experience Required


  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Ability to communicate with, present to and influence all levels of an organization, including executive and C -level
  • Demonstrate experience as a sales leader, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • At least 5 + years’ experience in clinical trials and vendor qualification
  • At least 7 + years’ experience in sales, preferably in B2B technology solutions or the Life Sciences
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
